The Club
The St. John's Tennis Association, located in St. John’s, NL, manages two tennis facilities. Green Belt Tennis Club is an indoor, year-round facility with six tennis courts, six pickleball courts, a club house and change facilities with lockers and showers. In addition to recreational and league play, its programs include junior and adult lessons, private lessons and the province’s high performance training program for elite junior athletes. Riverdale is the association’s outdoor facility which operates during the summer months. Located on Portugal Cove Road, next to Rennie’s River, Riverdale is the province's longest established tennis club. It has six outdoor lighted courts and a clubhouse.

We offer a variety of membership plans - Full*, Weekday*, Pay-As-You-Play*, Junior, Student and Summer. We offer very attactive introductory pricing for first-time members - or if you've been away for 24 months or more - on our first three plans.
Thinking about getting a membership, but not sure? Periodically during the indoor tennis season (September to June), we offer a $30-for-30 promotion for new-comers which provides 30 days of unlimited tennis for $30+HST. Rackets and balls are available for use.

We have leagues to fit everyone's ability and schedule. Men's, women's and mixed leagues; singles and doubles; as well as singles and doubles ladders operating at various times throughout the week. These leagues encompass a wide variety of skill levels.

SJTA is proud to have Green Belt Tennis Club as a designated Tennis Development Centre (TDC). The TDC program is a key component of the overall player development plan of Tennis Canada and its mission of developing world class players. The program annually supports indoor clubs and academies with benefits and services for meeting program requirements and standards of player results.
